Up for auction is an early example of a Peavey T-40 Bass. This example is Patent Pending as opposed to some of the later models and the guy at the guitar shop said it was from 1978 or 79.The serial number on the back of the neck is 0452494This bass sounds amazing, everything works as it should. It spent the majority of its life in a tv studio so has not been played much lately. There is some wear on the back of the bass from play, but not scratching, it is more like slight indentations.As show in the photos, someone at some time carved their Drivers License # right along side the serial number on the back of the head stock, and also someone carved the word Milyo on the back of the bass as well. What that means I have no idea, but it does not affect playability.The action is a little high on the bass, but it never bothered me. It could be set up or not, but I chose not to because I was fine with it.The bass comes with a hard to find hard shell case, and it is in great condition, as well as the manual that came with the bass.Shipping and handling is $60.
